Our First Annual Family Day!

Well, on May 22, 2007, we had a huge celebration at our house! I brought out my beautiful silk runner and table settings and decorated the house with balloons and everything I could find from China (tea sets, chopsticks and the like)! We even wore our Chinese silk! Rob had the culinary department at school bake a beautiful confetti sprinkled cake with a Gotcha Day message embellishing it's top! We dined on Jiaozi, Chinese dumplings, yummy! It is a day we will continue to celebrate each year as it was officially one year ago that day in which we received our beautiful Claire Bear! We hooped and hollared and even had a dog pile on Daddy day! He is such a wonderful father and husband! He just loves his girls! I will even throw in some Easter pics for good measure, since I was late in posting these, as well! (the picture with the flour on the floor, was used so we could detect bunny paw prints!)
Foster Update:
We officially had our FBI fingerprints taken last Friday, May 25, 2007 at 9:00 a.m. Claire accompanied us this time. So, now we wait another 4-6 weeks for the I171-H, the official doc allowing us to internationally adopt a child, the stamp of approval from USCIS! Then on to Salem for Sec of State Certs, then to San Fran VN Consulate for authentication, then off to Viet Nam! Whew! Makes me tired just thinking about it all! The process, that is.........but, so worth it! More updates to follow! Enjoy the pics!
